Active Alert 911 Live app will be primarily for all citizens, where they can video live and a link to the local police stations and law enforcement officials in real time where they can automatically send with a push of a button video and/or images so authorities can take the necessary action before it hits to the other citizen or area.It will also allow citizens to receive live crime updates which will be sent from the local law enforcement departments, so citizens can avoid following the particular route/area. The live crime updates can be about robberies, thefts, arsons, shootings, bombings, burglaries, assaults, vandalism, accidents etc.

Officers with real time live video and direct information from the citizens in real time helps law enforcement improve their response time and offers new technology to aid in apprehending suspects as well as undisputable evidence for prosecution.
+ How does the app operate?
In the event of a nearby school shooting, an alert is sent to the Active Alert 911 Network app on your phone. To hear the alert sound and see how the app operates, press the Test Alert button on the menu at the bottom of the app. If you do not have a Test Alert button, you need to upgrade to the latest version. Please visit the Apple App Store or Google Play Store from your phone to upgrade to the latest version.
+ What about officer safety & scene management?
If you are a police officer, on duty or off, do you want instant notification that an armed intruder or school shooting massacre is reported near your location, yes or no?

+ I haven’t received my approval notification.
It’s possible that during the signup process you did not allow for the Active Alert 911 Network app to send you Notifications. To check this, perform the following steps… In iOS 6, go to Settings and then Notifications. Scroll down and select the Active Alert 911 Network app from the list. Make sure the Notification Center option is turned on. In iOS 7, go to Settings and then Notification Center. Scroll down and select the Active Alert 911 Network app from the list. Make sure the Alert Style at the top is set to Banners or Alerts (recommended). Also, make sure that all of the options are turned on. If your Notifications are enabled, the alert may already be in the Notification area on your phone.
